Dear clients:

As many of you know we have been closed since March to help slow the spread of the Covid-19 virus. Unfortunately, over this weekend, our salon and many other local businesses, our neighbors and friends, on Melrose Avenue were vandalized and looted  during the riots.  We had already started preparing our salon to reopen and had dropped off some of our recently purchased PPE (Personal Protection Equipment) the night before.  That and all other valuables were stolen. We are insured but with the city being hit so hard we will need time to replace stolen items and repair all damage.

This will delay our reopening.

We will post here and on social media and send an e-mail if we have yours on file, when a reopen date is set.

We are not accepting any donations. We understand our privilege and feel very lucky that we were not hit as hard as others on our block.

We believe and support the message behind the protest and are asking that if you have the means to, please donate to the surviving family of George Floyd or help support other anti-racist organizations, including the Pimento Relief Fund, who are raising funds for black owned uninsured businesses in Minnesota that were destroyed by white supremacists over the weekend.

We can’t thank you enough for showing up Sunday morning to help us clean and board up the salon and for sending heart felt messages showing your support.

We’ll be back. Just give us some time.
